Extract of Inheritance Certificate

You may apply for an Extract of Inheritance Certificate if there is a previously issued Inheritance Certificate.

Information/Documents required

• Inheritance Certificate number of the previously issued Inheritance Certificate and/or NRIC/ID No. of the deceased. 

Process

You must submit your application online via the SYC Portal using SingPass (for individual applicants) or CorpPass (for law firms, MUIS, court or authority). If you are an individual who is a foreigner and do not have a SingPass, you may apply for SYCPass to make the application. 

Your application will be processed within 3 working days of your submission and is valid for 30 days. All required steps must be completed within 30 days of submitting the application. Payment must be made within 7 calendar days of approval of the application and at least 1 day before expiry of the application, whichever is earlier. If payment is not made at least 1 day before the end of the 30-day validity period of the application, you must submit a new application if you still wish to obtain an inheritance certificate.

The Inheritance Certificate will be issued through the SYC Portal in downloadable PDF format. It is available for download only for 14 days from the date of issuance.
